Android Orphans

Michael DeGusta:

In other words, Apple’s way of getting you to buy a new phone is to make you really happy with your current one, whereas apparently Android phone makers think they can get you to buy a new phone by making you really unhappy with your current one.

Heart Balloons reach Boston

I don’t update enough. Or really ever. I am working on this.

But, quickly:

Today, a plan was hatched between @legaleagle and my self to deliver some heart balloons to Occupy Boston, as a general show of solidarity and as a nice gesture in the wake of the incredibly unnecessary violence initiated by the Boston Police Department last night. She came up with a very nice message for the note:

note from #wiunion to #occupyboston

After some minor challenges (several florists were afraid to send their delivery people to the Occupy Boston camp), the flowers got delivered my office and I walked them a few blocks over to the camp. I met up with @superbranch who has been in Boston for the past few days, and we presented the camp with a dozen heart balloons. I got on the mic and gave a brief background on the symbolic importance of the balloons to the Wisconsin protest movement, and then we looked around for a suitable place to tie them. I think the location we found speaks for itself:

Gandhi likes the heart balloons
