Photographer Michael Chrisman used a pinhole camera and photosensitive paper to create this beautiful image of the Toronto skyline. He left the camera in what he hoped was a secure location and retrieved it one year later.
Aside from the image itself, which is striking, there’s a wonderful metaphor hidden in the fact that since he used photosensitive paper, the very act of scanning the picture to digitize it destroyed the original.
